Ford plays Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor who is accused of murdering his co-worker Carolyn Polhemus. Sabich is forced to investigate the crime while also defending himself against the charges. The film follows Sabich as he uncovers secrets about his colleagues, his marriage, and his own past.
